JJT Residential Becomes Julie Twist Properties

We are proud to announce that our sister company at Salford Quays, JJT Residential, is being welcomed into the Julie Twist family.

From 23rd May 2016, JJT will become the third branch of Julie Twist Properties, following a major rebranding.

The office has been run by Julie and her team since it opened in 2002, but was joint-owned by Jones Homes. Now, Julie will be at the helm both front-of-house and behind the scenes, as our trademark lime-green store fronting arrives at Quay Plaza.

Julie says, ‘Salford Quays was once part of an industrial area where there was no room for residential property. After the docklands closed and redevelopment began in the ’80s and ’90s, there was a chance to make it into a place to live.

‘We were ready and waiting, being the first estate agency to open there in 2002, soon after The Lowry opened. The transformation we have seen since then has been amazing’.

Indeed, the Quays are perhaps just as well known for accommodation as the city itself nowadays, although the demographic differs a little. There are far more owner-occupiers per block, which gives the area a real community feel. Another advantage is that the apartments on offer tend to be slightly larger than their city-centre counterparts.

Since MediaCityUK landed at Salford Quays in 2012, our office has been inundated with customers looking to buy and rent in the former dock area. Available property is a mixture of the old, the brand new and the converted, with new developments like the Dock Office springing up to accommodate the influx of professionals and students.

The area been brought to life by the range of businesses and events on offer, as well as the extension of the Manchester tram network, which has connected the area with the rest of Greater Manchester – including Manchester Airport, meaning that the Quays have become internationally accessible.

It is a special part of the region, where the waterfront setting means that summer days have a holiday feel. The world-famous Old Trafford football club is clearly visible across the water and the equally well-renowned cricket ground is a stone’s throw. It’s easy to see why people want to live here, and we are proud to be invested in Salford Quays both now and in the long term.

Why not come and visit Julie Twist Properties, Salford Quays, next time you’re at Quay Plaza? Our friendly staff will be ready and waiting to chat to you about the area and the properties on offer.
