    St Lawrence Quay

Situated at the heart of Salford Quays, Grain Wharf consists of three developments: Winnipeg Quay, Vancouver Quay and St. Lawrence Quay. The name is derived from the former dock at this site, to which grain was brought by ship. The properties here are a mixture of townhouses and apartments, and represent excellent value for money in terms of square footage and bedrooms (all the properties are two- or three-bedroomed).
Built between 1985 and 1995, the apartment blocks at Grain Wharf are low-rise, with none exceeding four storeys. If heights are not for you, then Grain Wharf might provide a more appealing alternative to the high-rise blocks found elsewhere on the Quays! The area also benefits from attractive communal green spaces, parking spaces and garages to some apartments, making the properties popular with families.

Salford Quays has benefited from extensive regeneration over the past twenty years. Now a thriving business district, residential area and culture zone (being home to MediaCityUK, Imperial War Museum North and The Lowry art complex), it’s a great alternative to living in Manchester city centre. The growing number of shops, bars and restaurants means that it is favoured by young professionals, mature students and families. The Quays are particularly popular with commuters due to the high number of developments with parking spaces, the proximity to the motorway and excellent public transport links, including several Metrolink stations.
