The Grand development is a Grade II listed landmark building which stands proud in the heart of Piccadilly on Aytoun Street. Originally built in the 1860’s it was initially used as a cotton warehouse, then years later was converted to the Grand Hotel. In 1996 it was decided to convert the development to apartments, completing in 2000, it provided 115 new homes for the city centre. The original courtyard was covered by a new glass roof providing a focus for internal balconies and communal space. The apartments range from studios to three bedrooms and offer an abundance of natural light from the large windows and high ceilings. The development also has an on-site caretaker.
The Grand is a short walk from Piccadilly train station and is just across from Piccadilly bus interchange and Metrolink offering great transport links around and out of the city centre. The Arndale shopping centre is a few minutes walk away too offering an abundance of shops, cafes and eateries to enjoy.
