    Abito, 4 Clippers Quay

    This 8-storey apartment complex provides a mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom properties. Designed by the Building Design Partnership, the development is composed of four tower blocks surrounding a canopy-covered courtyard.

    The instant success of the first Abito complex at Greengate led to the development of the second Abito at Salford Quays. The key concept behind Abito is the elimination of dead space. As designer Jasper Sanders explains, the development team took “inspiration from the way the Japanese have successfully utilised smaller spaces through innovation”.
